Effective Communication Methods in Entrepreneurship Case Study of Qism Maqsof Banat STIBA Ar Raayah Sukabumi

This research aims to find out the effective communication methods of Qism Maqshaf Banat STIBA Ar Raayah in entrepreneurship. STIBA Ar Raayah students come from all over the archipelago from Sabang to Merauke which of course consists of various cultures, language dialects and distinctive communication characteristics in enriching the treasures of communication diversity in this pesantren-based college. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach supported by interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that to achieve effective internal communication, Qism Maqshaf goes through a series of processes, namely by conducting research on the needs and desires of female students and then in a traditional way they spread product reviews, as well as evaluating and providing feedback to suppliers. Qism Maqshaf members always provide the best service for prospective buyers in accordance with the vision and mission of business communication, such as by trying to understand the cultural characters and language dialects of each student who is a customer. Communication that is put forward in muamalah here is persuasive communication, which is to change or influence a person's attitude or behavior so that it acts in accordance with what is expected by the communicator.

Comprehending Human Economic Behavior Through a Multicultural Lens: Examining the Concepts of Homo Economicus and Islamicus

Homo economicus and homo islamicus are two concepts of human economic behavior that stem from different intellectual backgrounds. This paper aims to conduct a critical comparative analysis on the fundamental assumptions of the two concepts. The research method is qualitative, drawing upon key literature from Western and Islamic schools of thought. The results show that homo economicus and homo islamicus differ significantly in terms of underlying principles, motivations, and moral considerations. Homo economicus is driven by self-interest and narrow rationality, while homo islamicus is guided by the framework of Islamic values. These differences have implications on how the two concepts view systems of production, consumption, and distribution. However, the concepts can complement each other in providing a more comprehensive understanding of human economic behavior. The study suggests the need for integrating or synthesizing diverse perspectives in formulating a multidimensional and culturally inclusive analytical framework of economic behavior.

Online Thrift Shop Phenomenon as a Business Opportunity for Young Entrepreneurs in Manado City: A Multicultural Perspective

The thrift shop phenomenon is on the rise in Indonesia, especially among young entrepreneurs who utilize the ease of online marketing. This research aims to examine online thrift shops as a business opportunity for young entrepreneurs in Manado City through a multiculturalism approach. Qualitative method with in-depth interviews with 8 main informants from Manado, Minahasa, and Gorontalo ethnicities. Results show that cultural background influences entrepreneurial orientation. Ethnic Minahasa tends to sell casual fashion, in contrast to ethnic Gorontalo who prioritizes Muslim clothing. The migrants' marketing strategy utilizes more social commerce, while the ethnic Manado still relies on community-based marketing. Young entrepreneurs are also encouraged by the flexibility and profit potential of thrift shops, although the risk of product damage and network constraints are challenges. Thus, this study found that cultural background and local values shape thrift shop business orientation and entrepreneurial behavior. Understanding this multicultural perspective can encourage the development of a thrift shop ecosystem that is more inclusive and responsive to the cultural diversity of the people of Manado City.

Social Solidarity of Javanese Society in Seven Villages of Modayag District

This research is oriented towards discussing Durkheim's social solidarity in the transmigrant society in the seven Villages in Modayag District, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with fourteen informants. The technique of determining informants is purposive sampling. The research instruments are the researchers themselves and the data analysis techniques include data reduction, data display, data verification. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the social solidarity built in the Javanese society in the seven Villages in Modayag is in the form of organic solidarity according to Durkheim's theory. Mechanical solidarity is the solidarity built because of the art and cultural values jointly adhered to in society or societies that are still homogeneous in nature. In the Javanese society in the seven Villages in Modayag District, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency, religious values, language, art and culture are maintained even though the transmigrant society lives amidst the indigenous Mongondow culture and other tribes such as Minahasa, Gorontalo and Sanger. However, Javanese culture has become a collective value that can influence the surrounding community. The Javanese society in the seven Villages in Modayag interacts with various cultures, tribes and religions, but the rooted Javanese religious values, language and art culture are maintained and give birth to a collective conscience among the Javanese people which becomes a symbol of their social solidarity.

Equal Legal Standing of Citizens in Judicial Review of Constitutional Court Law: A Multicultural Perspective to Achieve Legal Certainty

The phrase of Indonesian citizen that quotes in Article 51 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 8 of 2011 about the Constitutional Court provides the widest possible opportunity for the Indonesian people to contest their rights. A Constitutional Court’s judge as an Indonesian citizen has the same rights in filing a lawsuit regarding his legal interests related to the review of the Constitutional Court Law. This study contains two results. First, the right to file a petition is the right to file a lawsuit or petition to the Constitutional Court. However, in reviewing Legal Certainty in the second discussion, a Constitutional Court judge should be prohibited from reviewing the Constitutional Court Law as it violates Legal Principles, that a Judge cannot be a Judge for himself. From a multicultural perspective, every Indonesian citizen regardless of ethnic, religious or gender background has equal rights to file a judicial review petition to the Constitutional Court. This reflects the spirit of unity in diversity and equality contained in the 1945 Constitution. However, there still needs to be restrictions to avoid conflicts of interest. By upholding the principles of legal certainty and justice, the Indonesian judiciary system can realize the noble ideals of the nation..

The Complexity and Diversity Methods of Legal Discovery in Islam: In the Perspective Ulama of Mazhab al-Arba'ah

This article aims to detail the development of the method of finding sources of Islamic law concerning the perspectives of the scholars of the madhhab al-arba'ah, and explore its advantages and disadvantages based on the findings gathered. The research adopts a literature-based approach, a research method that relies on literature as the main source of information. Primary data sources are obtained from classical works, books, journals, and other related references related to the method of finding sources of Islamic law, especially in the perspective of the ulama mazhab al-arba'ah. Researchers use a qualitative approach with analytical descriptive methods to analyse primary data. The results show that the schools of Islamic law, such as Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hambali, show differences in the method of legal discovery and its implementation. Each school has distinctive characteristics based on its origin's sociocultural and political context. The thoughts of the leading figures in developing the science of usul fiqh, such as Abu Hanifah, Imam Malik, Imam Shafi'i, and Imam Ahmad, reflect the differences in ijtihad and law-making methods in these schools. Thus, this article provides an overview of the complexity and diversity of legal discovery methods in the Islamic context, illustrates the evolution of legal thought over time, and highlights the different approaches among the schools of Islamic law.

Legalization of Nikah Sirri: A Solution to Obtain Marital Status Recognition Among Diverse Cultural Groups in Indonesia

This article examines the background behind couples from various ethnic groups in Indonesia opting for unregistered marriages and their efforts to obtain legal recognition of their marital status from the state. The research aims to understand the motivations of couples from different cultural backgrounds when deciding to marry in secrecy and how they then seek to legalize their unions through court decisions on marital status confirmation. The method used in this study is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Primary data was obtained through in-depth interviews with 14 interethnic couples such as Minang, Batak and Javanese in Padang City who filed petitions for marital status confirmation to the local Class 1A Religious Court. The findings reveal that preferences over unregistered marriages are influenced by the social, cultural and religious backgrounds of each ethnic group. This condition necessitates contextual adjustments in providing legal solutions to the issue of unregistered marriages so that they can be accepted by all parties from the existing cultural diversity. In conclusion, marital status confirmation in Religious Courts can be an effective legal solution for interethnic couples with unregistered marriages in Indonesia to obtain formal recognition of their marital status. However, a profound understanding of the prevailing socio-cultural values in each community is needed so that decisions on marital status confirmation do not contradict and can be well accepted by all parties.

Integrating the Whole Language Approach in Multicultural Education: Developing Reading Comprehension Skills and Cross-Cultural Awareness in Elementary School Students

The purpose of this study is to analyze the integration of the whole language approach in multicultural education for third grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Kota Kupang in the 2022/2023 academic year. This classroom action research consisted of four stages in each cycle: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 25 third grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Kota Kupang. In cycle 1, the percentage of students reaching mastery learning was 20% with 5 students succeeding. In cycle 2, the percentage increased to 92% with 23 students succeeding. From cycle 1 to cycle 2 there was an improvement that met the success indicators. Thus this classroom action research was successful, indicating that implementing the whole language approach can improve students' reading comprehension skills. The whole language approach is used as a key instrument in multicultural education, helping to develop a generation that is not only literate but also able to appreciate and positively interact with various cultures.

Optimizing Reading Ability Through the CIRC Model Assisted by Story Card Media in the Context of Multicultural Education in Elementary Schools

This research aims to analyze how the CIRC model assisted by story card media can support multicultural education in elementary schools. The research used is classroom action research (CAR), with research procedures including planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects used were 24 first grade students consisting of 14 boys and 10 girls. The achievement results at the initial observation showed that, of the 24 students, only 6 (27%) students were in the capable reading category. In the first cycle, as many as 6 (33.3%) students were able to read, 18 students (66.7%) were in the unable to read category. The number and percentage increased in the second cycle to 24 (100%) students who were able to read. Based on the results of the research and discussion above, it can be concluded that through the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model it can improve reading skills for first grade students at SD Inpres Tenubot, Belu Regency. The use of story card media in the CIRC model adds an inclusive and interactive dimension to the learning process, allowing students to explore various themes and stories that reflect cultural diversity.

Multicultural Learning Strategies to Improve Social Care Character at an Elementary School: A Case Study at Muhammadiyah 6 Elementary School North Samarinda

This study aims to analyze teacher strategies in shaping social care character and constraints experienced in shaping social care character of third grade students at Muhammadiyah 6 Elementary School North Samarinda 2022/2023 Academic Year. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques namely interviews, observations, and documentation. The study conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 6 Samarinda Utara revealed creative strategies adopted by teachers to cultivate social care character among third grade students. By implementing routine activities such as ‘Sharing Friday’, weekly infaq, and spontaneous responses in the form of reprimands and advice, teachers inculcate caring values. They also demonstrate exemplary behavior and transform the classroom environment to facilitate better social interactions. The use of magic words in daily interactions and the integration of social care values in Civics Education lessons emphasize the importance of empathy and solidarity. The researcher recommends that the school develop learning materials that reflect the cultural, religious and ethnic diversity in Indonesia and provide professional training for teachers on how to integrate multicultural education into their teaching and how to identify and respond to bias in the classroom.
