Kompetensi Literasi dan Numerasi Siswa Kelas V pada Materi Sumber Daya Alam
Abstract
Kemampuan literasi dasar siswa di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil survei pengukuran Programme International Student Assesment. Tingkat kemampuan literasi siswa Indonesia berada dikisaran 61%. Rendahnya keterampilan literasi dan numerasi menunjukkan bahwa konteks Pendidikan di Indonesia belum mampu meningkatkan kompetensi dan minat siswa terhadap perkembangan kognitifnya. Hal ini menunjukkan pentingnya mengoptimalkan literasi dan numerasi pada jenjang sekolah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia. Peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian terkait kompetensi literasi dan numerasi siswa kelas V pada materi ajar sumber daya alam, bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi literasi dan numerasi siswa menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, melalui teknik pengumpulan data wawancara dan soal tes. Analisis data dilakukan pada hasil tes siswa dengan menggunakan analisis permodelan Rasch. Berdasarkan perbandingan nilai rata-rata person dan standar deviasi terhadap kedua soal baik pilihan ganda maupun uraian diketahui pada soal pilihan ganda hanya 7 siswa yang terkategorikan dalam kelompok kemampuan tinggi, sedangkan pada soal uraian hanya 5 siswa yang terkategori dalam kelompok kemampuan tinggi. Hal ini bisa disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam kompetensi literasi dan numerasi siswa masih dalam kategori rendah.
