Author Guidelines

1. General Information

JEER publishes original research articles, literature reviews, and conceptual papers related to elementary education, learning, curriculum, and educational management. The manuscript must be written in good Indonesian or English and follow the JEER journal template.

2. Manuscript Submission

  • Manuscripts are submitted online through the JEER OJS system: http://ejournal.iain-manado.ac.id/index.php/jeer .
  • Authors must ensure the manuscript has not been published or is under consideration elsewhere.
  • Each submission will be checked for plagiarism (maximum similarity 25%) and AI usage (maximum 25%).

3. Manuscript Format

  • Use the JEER template (Cambria font, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing).
  • The manuscript length is about 6–15 pages including tables, figures, and references.
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx).

4. Structure of Manuscript

Manuscripts must follow this structure:

  1. Title – Brief, informative, and not more than 15 words in English and Indonesian.
  2. Author(s) – Full names (without titles) with institutional affiliation and email address of the corresponding author.
  3. Abstract – Written in Indonesian and English, 150–200 words, containing the research purpose, methods, results, and conclusion.
  4. Keywords – 3 to 5 keywords, separated by commas.
  5. Introduction – Contains background, problem formulation, and research objectives. No subheadings.
  6. Method – Includes research design, participants/subjects, data collection techniques, and data analysis.
  7. Results and Discussion – Combined in one section. Use tables, graphs, or figures if needed (Cambria 10). Interpret findings clearly and connect them with previous studies.
  8. Conclusion – Summarizes the main findings in one paragraph (no numbering).
  9. Acknowledgment (optional) – For funding institutions or contributors.
  10. References – Only include cited sources. Use APA Style (7th edition). At least 60% from recent journal articles (within the last 10 years).

5. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be clear, labeled, and numbered consecutively.
  • Table titles are placed above the table; figure captions are placed below the figure.
  • Font: Cambria 10, single spacing.

6. Citation and References

  • In-text citation uses the author–date format, e.g., (Arikunto, 2012) or (Suharyanto, 2016).
  • All references listed must be cited in the manuscript.
  • Example:
    • Journal Article: Suharyanto, A. (2016). Pusat Aktivitas Ritual Kepercayaan Parmalim di Huta Tinggi Laguboti. Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan dan Sosial Politik UMA, 4(2), 182–195.
    • Book: Arikunto, S. (2002). Prosedur Penelitian: Suatu Pendekatan Praktek. Jakarta: Rineka Cipta.

7. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors are responsible for the originality and ethical conduct of their research.
  • AI tools may assist in grammar or formatting improvement, but AI-generated content must not exceed 25% and must be disclosed in the manuscript.

8. Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review. The editorial team may revise the format and language without altering the content.

9. Copyright and Open Access

Authors retain copyright but grant JEER the right of first publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license.
